Subject: Agile Architecture: Approaches for Project Teams and Enterprise Architecture Groups
This presentation overviews a collection of techniques for taking an agile approach to both project and enterprise architecture efforts. The principles and practices of Agile Modeling (AM) can be applied by architects to streamline and improve their efforts. The secret is to take a collaboration-based approach to architecture. Agile architects roll up their sleeves and are active members of development teams and collaborate with developers to build software, transferring their architectural skills in the process.
We'll discuss how to take an agile approach to architectural modeling during a project, the need to prove an architecture with working code, how to model and document in an agile manner, how to take enterprise concerns into account on a project, and how to remain agile when promoting a common architecture across projects.
